Master Planner Network is fully network compatible for those companies which require to make Master Planner available to a number of staff, although this version may also be installed on stand-alone machines for individual use. The application software and/or files may be stored on the server, bringing them into the company's usual security and backup procedures. All staff with access to the network can thus view Master Planner files. To prevent unauthorised staff from changing the files, use your network software to make Master Planner files read-only except for those with administrator privileges. Master Planner will then disable editing functions for those with read-only access.
The Network version of Master Planner allows full customisation of the planner symbols. You can create your own symbols, relevant to your company, using any bitmap editing program. These may be combined with any number of built-in symbols and saved as a separate toolbar file, for use with any planner file.
The Network version minimum installation is for 4 users (on one local area network and/or as stand-alone installations). The Network version is also available for 10, 20, 50 or unlimited users (other numbers of users available on request). Client installation may be automated for easy deployment to large numbers of users, and a Network Administrator's Utility Program allows automatic upgrades and makes management of multiple installations simpler. |
